Biography
Lost IQ is an Italian jazz trio formed in 2023 within Siena Jazz University. The group features Catanian guitarist Francesco Faro, Trevigian bassist Giuseppe Vitale and Catanzarese drummer Giuseppe Salime. Their distinctive sound comes from the fusion of jazz, funk and Latin roots with Mediterranean music suggestions, mainly through compositions written by Francesco Faro. In March 2025 the trio recorded their first self-titled album "Lost IQ" in southern France, produced by Israeli drummer and producer Ziv Ravitz. The record weaves Mediterranean jazz, funk and progressive rock and was released in June 2025. Also in 2025 Lost IQ recorded a collaborative EP with vocalist Likuna Tutisani, titled "Likuna & Lost IQ". The trio is active on the main Italian jazz circuits, with performances such as those at the Monk Jazz Club in Catania.
