
Lost IQ: the debut of the Mediterranean-prog trio
A trio formed at Siena Jazz in 2023: Francesco Faro (guitar, Catania), Giuseppe Vitale (bass, Treviso), Giuseppe Salime (drums, Catanzaro). Their debut album, produced by Israeli drummer and producer Ziv Ravitz.
The self-titled Lost IQ was released on 20 June 2025. The trio came together at Siena Jazz in 2023 and brings together three young musicians: Francesco Faro (guitar, Catania), Giuseppe Vitale (bass, Treviso), Giuseppe Salime (drums, Catanzaro).
The album was recorded in southern France and produced by Ziv Ravitz, the Israeli drummer and producer active on the international jazz scene. The compositions are largely by Faro and move along a borderland between jazz, funk and progressive rock, with Mediterranean roots.
Eleven tracks for a total of fifty-three minutes. A debut album that documents a young Italian jazz scene in dialogue with the European circuit.
