Italian jazz pianist, composer and educator. Trained at Berklee College of Music in Boston, has collaborated with Fabrizio Bosso, Maurizio Giammarco and Giovanni Tommaso.

Biography
Raffaele Genovese is an Italian jazz and contemporary-music pianist, composer and educator. Born in Syracuse on 4 June 1982, he started studying piano at the age of seven and graduated in 2007 from the "F. Cilea" Conservatory in Reggio Calabria, perfecting his playing with internationally renowned musicians such as Raffaele Terlizzi, Paolo Vergari, Andrea Beneventano and Salvatore Bonafede. In 2009 he attended the Umbria Jazz Clinics, where he won a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 2012 he obtained the Second-Level Academic Diploma in Jazz Music with full marks at the "A. Corelli" Conservatory in Messina. Across a constantly evolving career he has collaborated with musicians including Fabrizio Bosso, Maurizio Giammarco, Giovanni Tommaso, Stefano D'Anna, Marco Vaggi, Enzo Zirilli, Ben van Gelder, Tony Arco, Carmelo Venuto, Emanuele Primavera, Marco Panascia, Marcello Pellitteri, Matteo Sabattini and Joyce Elaine Yuille. With his own ensembles he has performed at national festivals such as Catania Jazz, Fano Jazz Network, Novara Jazz and Roccella Jazz Festival. His discography includes four albums: "Freeway" (2011), "Anamnesi" (2013), "Musaico" (2016) and "The Tightrope Walker" (2024), released by Anaglyphos Records: a piano-solo work enriched with electronic elements, unfolding across ten tracks of strong emotional depth. Alongside his concert work he carries on an ongoing teaching activity as a MIUR-certified educator.
