Biography
Gipsy's Kings Way is the live project of Pablo Reyes (Paul Reyes), one of the founding members of the legendary Gipsy Kings. Born into a family deeply rooted in Spanish musical tradition, he grew up in the vibrant Gypsy community of Arles, in the south of France, where from childhood he breathed in the art and passion of flamenco. With an unmistakable style blending refined melodies, guitar virtuosity and an intense, poignant voice, he helped create the sound that carried Gypsy music around the world: with the Gipsy Kings he won over international audiences with timeless hits such as Bamboleo and Djobi Djoba, which became true anthems of Gypsy musical culture. After an extraordinary career marked by international collaborations and concerts on the world's most prestigious stages, he embarked on a solo path, exploring new sounds without ever losing the bond with his roots. Today he is a solo voice and an ambassador of Gypsy flamenco worldwide, with shows of great emotional intensity in which impeccable technique and authentic passion merge. In 2025 he received two prestigious lifetime achievement awards: the Premio alla Carriera at Casa Sanremo, during the Sanremo Festival 2025, and a second Premio alla Carriera at the Festival de la Comédie in Monte Carlo, celebrating his contribution to spreading Gypsy music around the world. In 2026, marking the 39th anniversary of Bamboleo, Pablo Reyes returns to international stages with Gipsy's Kings Way: backed by a top-class band and an imposing stage production, he delivers a concert that unites past and present, tradition and innovation. The set runs through the great hits of the Gypsy tradition — from Bamboleo and Djobi Djoba to Un Amor and La Quiero — to the celebrated reinterpretations of Volare, My Way and Hotel California. The first chapter of the collaboration with Mhodì Music Company is the single «Maria» (17 July 2026), an all-new track that reinterprets the flamenco rumba tradition with contemporary production.
