Maria is the new single by Gipsy's Kings Way, out on all digital platforms on Friday 17 July 2026. The track — the first chapter of the collaboration between the project and Mhodì Music Company — is released with distribution by You Independent and is already available to pre-save.
Gipsy's Kings Way
Gipsy's Kings Way is the project of Pablo Reyes (Paul Reyes), who brings the Gypsy flamenco rumba he helped shape to the stage together with the original line-up: a singer and guitarist, he has taken this sound to stages worldwide since the 1980s. His voice and guitar have been part of the international success of songs that became part of the collective imagination, such as Bamboleo, Djobi Djoba and Volare.
The project's roots lie in the Gypsy culture of southern France, among the Catalan families of Arles and Montpellier: strummed guitars, voices and flamenco rhythm in a direct, recognizable language. In 2026 Pablo Reyes returned to touring with the World Tour 2026, bringing the historic repertoire to the stage alongside the new material.
The single
Maria is an all-new track that reinterprets the flamenco rumba tradition with contemporary production. The acoustic guitars, Gypsy rhythm and immediate melody that have always defined this sound remain at the heart of the song, enriched by modern sonic touches: a balance between roots and modernity that updates the project's language without distorting it.
The release is completed by artwork evoking the project's Gypsy and Mediterranean imagery: a woman's profile surrounded by guitars, flowers, fans, moons and crowns, in a warm, vintage-flavored composition.
Maria is out on Friday 17 July 2026 via Mhodì Music Company, distributed by You Independent. The track is available to pre-save: add it now and it will arrive automatically in your library on release day.
